Troy Deeney was back in training with his Watford team-mates on Wednesday for the first time since March. Deeney initially refused to return to the club’s training ground over fears about the effect of coronavirus on BAME people and the danger to his young son.
After agreeing to come back, the Hornets skipper also then missed Tuesday’s session with an unrelated illness - but trained at his side’s Colney HQ on Wednesday.
Watford are back in group training and did a double session but Deeney is being eased back in gradually. The 31-year-old revealed his intention to come back last week after holding positive talks with Professor Jonathan Van-Tam, England's deputy chief medical officer.
