A grateful Scots trucker has thanked the Daily Record after the UK Government ruled motorway services on Britain’s major trunk roads are essential and must stay open.Ruth Copeland, 56, from Ardrossan, Ayrshire, told how coronavirus had left ‘trampers’ like her without basic facilities as they travel all over the UK delivering supplies.Ruth, a trucker for 32 years, said most of the already meagre washing and eating facilities they can use at motorway services were closed and even getting to an open toilet was often impossible.
