Bundesliga given green light to restart with games to be played with no fans

The Bundesliga has been given the go ahead to restart later this month following the coronavirus pandemic by the German government.

Just like the UK, there has been no football in Germany since mid-March due to Covid-19 concerns. Germany has had more than 150,000 confirmed cases in the country, with almost 6,300 people dying from the virus.

But with the government seeing the number of new cases slow down, they have taken the decision to restart football under certain guidelines.

Many other nations, including the neighbouring France and Holland, have already ended their season with differing outcomes. However, the Bundesliga and second tier Bundesliga 2 will become the first of Europe’s major leagues to get back in action when they resume
