Paul Wotton has hit out at the FA after Truro City were denied a potential promotion when their league season was dramatically ended on Thursday.

Former Plymouth skipper Wotton had guided Truro to the top of the BetVictor Southern Premier division in his first season as a rookie boss.

Elsewhere, South Shields led the Northern Premier by 12 points and were nailed on for the title with just nine games left. Below them, Worthing top the BetVictor Isthmian League by seven points but now won't go up either.

All will have their results expunged after the FA and authorities decided all divisions below the National League North and South will end immediately.
