Almost a million Brits have had their holiday dreams crushed after TUI cancelled all trips for the next six weeks. Holidaymakers hoping for a beach getaway after the coronavirus lockdown has been lifted were told on Wednesday that bookings up to and including June 11 have been cancelled.
The travel firm had previously axed holidays up to May 14, but there’s no guarantee that planes will take off on June 12. The company’s Marella cruise ship holidays have also been grounded up to June 30.
And TUI River Cruises sailings travelling up until and including November 25, 2020 have been scrapped. TUI said 900,000 people have been affected by the cancellations caused by “the on-going travel restrictions” across the world.
