Premier League chiefs will not meet with shareholders until after Prime Minister Boris Johnson's speech on Sunday. The PM is expected to explain how his government plans to 'unlock the various parts of the UK economy' with parts of the country-wide lockdown being eased.
The top flight shareholder meeting was set for Friday, with Johnson due to address the nation 24 hours prior. It is expected the Premier League will base their next steps on government advice as the country's leaders attempt to reopen parts of the UK.
The 'Project Restart' plan, if put in place, will see the 20 top flight clubs finish the season from next month. Matches will take place at neutral venues, meaning no side has a home advantage in their final run of games.
