A leading Oxford University professor has said there could be two or three vaccines available in the new year.Sir John Bell, regius professor of medicine at Oxford University and a member of the government’s vaccine taskforce, shared his optimism after hailing the Pfizer/BioNTech announcement yesterday as a "massive step forward."Speaking in the Commons Health and Social Care Committee and Science and Technology Committee, Professor Sir John Bell also said he believes it is “unlikely” that the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine would be administered by GPs.He told MPs: “I think this journey to a vaccine has been a long journey and I think there’s a risk that people will underestimate the importance of the announcement yesterday.“The big challenge here.
