Tyson Fury has firmly rejected a proposal to pay Deontay Wilder to step aside and allow the Brit to face Anthony Joshua. Fury and Wilder are due to clash later this year in their trilogy fight after the American was dethroned in their February rematch.
But there is a growing clamour for Fury to instead take on fellow heavyweight world champion and countryman Joshua. This is despite the fact Joshua must first defend his three belts against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev in a fight expected to take place in October.
And in reacting to reports that Wilder could accept $10million to step aside, Fury said: "We’ve got the rematch with Wilder at some point.
