Kubrat Pulev will not be stepping aside to let Anthony Joshua face Tyson Fury next. And with American Deontay Wilder also not interested in a big offer to give up his rematch with Fury, the British pair will have to wait until 2021 to get in the ring together.
Joshua, 30, was due to face IBF mandatory challenger Pulev on June 20 before the coronavirus pandemic postponed the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Watford warrior's promoter Eddie Hearn has been pushing for Pulev and Wilder to make way for a £250m fight with Fury for later this year in the Middle East.
But Pulev insists he has no interest in giving up his shot against the IBF, WBA and WBO champion. He said: “I wouldn’t accept it.
