UK public transport will only have capacity for one in ten passengers with social distancing in place

The UK public transport network will only be able to accommodate 10 per cent of passengers once lockdown is lifted, says the government.

Secretary of state Grant Shapps warned that even when operating at full service, social distancing guidelines means there will only be capacity for one in 10 travellers in many parts of Britain.
