Victoria Beckham will make 20 members of staff redundant at her fashion company after suffering poor sales during the coronavirus pandemic.The former Spice Girls singer was forced to close the brand’s flagship store in London back in March when the country went into lockdown.
It meant sales at the luxury fashion company plummeted and in April, Victoria, 46, made plans to apply for the furlough scheme to save jobs.
However, she later backtracked on the move after receiving backlash due to her own personal fortune, which stands at an estimated £330 million.
Now, the company has made the tough decision to axe jobs instead. Confirming the redundancies, a spokesperson for Victoria told Metro.co.uk: ‘Like so many businesses, a challenging retail.
