PHILADELPHIA - Police say a young girl was injured during a drive-by shooting at a North Philadelphia grocery store.
Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker told reporters that the 12-year-old victim was entering a store on the 4600 block of Hurley Street when someone in a red car fired at least seven shots.
According to Walker, the shooter is believed to have fired from the backseat of a red Acura. Two other suspects were inside the car, police said.
The victim was hit twice in the stomach and driven by police to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition. The child was the only victim struck by gunfire, police said.
