Kotaku explained that “Unkore” is a portmanteau for unko, meaning “poop,” and kore, or “collection.”Developed as part of a public-health campaign in Japan, where colorectal cancer is on the rise, the free game is set in the fictional kingdom of Untopia, which players must defend with the help of anthropomorphic intestinal bacteria.The cheeky app also encourages users to log details of their own bowel movements, such as color, shape and frequency — with the hope they receive a clean bill of health from babely bacilli.The project was launched by gastrointestinal surgeon Yousuke Ishii, who also serves as president of the Japan Unko Society.To raise awareness about intestinal health, the savvy doctor decided to push “poop” after learning unko.
