West Lothian placed onto coronavirus watchlist and council say they are learning from other localised lockdowns

Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.West Lothian has been placed onto a coronavirus watch list by scientists.The list is compiled by the Covid Symptom Study group and endorsed by the Welsh Government, NHS Wales, the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland.West Lothian entered this week as the 10th worst effected area in the UK - with 0.14 per cent of the population predicted to have symptomatic Covid-19.Researchers at King’s College London have been analysing data from 4,140,875 participants who have used a health science app to report on their health.The latest figures were based on the data and 9489 swab tests done between August 9 to August 22 and estimate that 22,040 people.
