Wetherspoons say 66 staff have tested positive for coronavirus across 50 pubs

JD Wetherspoon has reported that 66 of its workers have tested positive for coronavirus across 50 pubs in the UK. Boss Tim Martin said the majority of pubs haven't recorded positive tests - and said pubs are not ‘dangerous places to be’.Mr Martin said 811 pubs have reported zero positive tests, 40 pubs have reported one, six pubs have reported two, two pubs reported three, and two pubs reported four.The chain, which employs more than 41,500 people, said most of the reported cases have been mild or asymptomatic and 28 of the 66 employees have already returned to work, after self-isolating in accordance with medical guidelines.Wetherspoons also said it has invested around £15 million in its social distancing and hygiene measures.Last month,.
