More than 4 million workers have been placed on the UK Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme since it launched earlier this month.
Under the scheme, employers can claim a grant covering 80 per cent of the wages for a furloughed employee, up to £2,500 a month.
Any UK organisation with employees affected by the Covid-19 crisis can apply for the Government help as long as they had set up a payroll scheme before March 19.
