Private schools across Greater Manchester are putting plans in place to reopen next month. With the government proposing to have certain year groups back in from June 1, the independent schools are working towards that date.
It could all change today when the latest scientific evidence is given to ministers, but just like council-controlled schools, the independents have had to make plans around the current proposal.
At Bridgewater School in Worsley staff have been consulting with parents and staff to get their views on the plans to reopen for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children.
A spokesperson at the school said: "As a school our priority must be the health, safety and wellbeing of our whole school community.
