Tributes have been paid to a 'fighter' from Stockport with spina bifida who died after contracting coronavirus. Kerry Stephens-Law, from Reddish, was only expected to live for three days when she was born with the complex condition.
But she was 'strong and determine' and went on to live a full and happy life, her heartbroken family said. Her battle with Covid-19 was one fight too many, and she passed away at Stepping Hill Hospital aged 38.
Paying tribute, Kerry's carer and step-mum Marianne Stephens said: "She was so thoughtful. She enjoyed life and loved her family.
She was very close to her siblings and nephews and nieces. "She had a great sense of humour. She was very strong and determined.
