The jury on Wednesday awarded Depp $15 million in damages – $10 million in compensatory and $5 million in punitive – and ordered Depp to pay Heard $2 million.

The $2 million award for Heard is compensatory. The jury did not award punitive damages to Heard. Depp, 58, sued Heard for libel in Fairfax County Circuit Court over an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018.
