A hospital trust is appealing for volunteers following the outbreak of coronavirus. The Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (WWL) is on the hunt for people willing to lend their time and skills in its hospitals.

The trust, which runs the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, the Leigh Infirmary and Wrightington Hospital, is also recruiting for paid roles.

Hospital bosses are looking for electricians, plumbers, fitters, carpenters, joiners, medical engineering technicians, domestic assistants, drivers, porters, catering assistants and switchboard operators.
