An elderly woman with coronavirus symptoms collapsed on the floor at a B&M but customers were told to keep queuing to pay for their items, concerned staff say.
Employees were also instructed to reopen the store for the last 30 minutes of trading after an inadequate clean-up. The woman was shopping with her husband at the Grimsby outlet on Saturday afternoon when she collapsed at about 4:20pm.
When paramedics arrived she told them she had symptoms of Covid-19, and tests showed she had a high temperature. The woman remained on the floor for about 90 minutes receiving medical attention before being taken to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in an ambulance.
