OTTAWA -- For the ninth time in 10 days, Ottawa is seeing a double-digit increase in COVID-19 cases. Ontario's Ministry of Health reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa on Wednesday.

Since the first case of COVID-19 on March 11, there have been 2,987 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ottawa. Across Ontario, 133 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday.

There have been 42,544 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19. Peel Public Health reported 34 new cases of COVID-19, while there are 43 new cases in Toronto.
