17 clusters of Covid-19 in nursing homes, figures show

There are now 17 clusters of people with Covid-19 in nursing homes, according to the latest figures published on the website of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.

The figures relate to 1,904 cases analysed up to midnight on Thursday. There are 16 clusters associated with hospitals, five related to workplaces and three related to residential institutions.

The data also shows that one person aged between 25-34 has died of Covid-19 out of three admitted to ICU. One person aged between 35 and 44 has also died out of six ICU admissions, one person between 45 and 54 has died out of 18 admissions to ICU and one person aged between 55 and 64 died out of 15 admitted to ICU.
