WEST PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting in West Philadelphia that left an 18-year-old in critical condition.The shooting happened on the 300 block of South 58th Street, just before 9:30, out on the street, officials said.Responding officers found the young man suffering with a gunshot wound in his back.He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.Police are actively looking for a suspect or suspects and say no weapons have been found.___Tips can be submitted by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477) or texting PPD TIP (773847).

NORTH WILDWOOD, NJ. - North Wildwood fire crews responded to a house fire that caused one fatality on Thursday afternoon.Authorities say fire crews responded to a reported structure fire at 2203 New York Avenue at 4:16 p.m., and police officers on the scene informed them of a potential victim trapped inside. Firefighters on scene described the structure as a 1 ½ story residence with smoke and fire showing. Fire crews initiated an aggressive interior fire attack as a search for people began and firefighters found a victim in a rear bedroom after four minutes, according to officials.Authorities say firefighters evacuated the victim through a window, then moved them to a stretcher and initiated CPR. The victim was then transported by ambulance to Cape Regional Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead at 5:05 p.m. No additional injuries were reported. Officials say the fire was placed under control around 4:30 p.m. The Cape May County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating. This is a developing story. PHILADELPHIA - Authorities have identified five people who were killed when they say a gunman opened fire through the streets of a Philadelphia neighborhood Monday evening. Police say the barrage of gunfire began around 8:30 p.m. when officers were flagged down at the intersection of 56th and Chester streets in Kingsessing. Responding officers discovered multiple gunshot victims and spent shell casings at that scene and continued to hear gunfire coming from nearby on Frazier Street. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw says officers caught up with the gunman and were able to corner him in a back alley on the 1600 block of Frazier Street and take him into custody.Police say charges are pending against the 40-year-old male suspect.
