₹50,000 ex-gratia payment to kins of persons who died of Covid on October 4.  “We've to take judicial notice of the fact that what India has done, no other country could do," the Bench observed during the hearing on Thursday.

The apex court also appreciated the Centre’s step saying it has to take judicial notice of the fact that what India has done, no other country has been able to do. “We are happy that something has been done to wipe the tears of many families," apex court said.
