An A&E doctor and Labour MP has warned that people in their 30s and 40s are fighting for their lives in hospital with coronavirus.
Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, Labour MP for Tooting, south London, who is standing to be Labour Deputy Leader, revealed that these patients were previously fit and healthy and are now attached to machines.
After working a shift at St George's Hospital in the capital at the weekend, Dr Allin-Khan said the experience was ‘deeply, deeply eye-opening’.
