FRAN KELLY:Well the outbreak in the southeast of the country goes on despite those strict lockdown measures in Melbourne that have been in place for almost two weeks now.
Over the weekend, Victoria recorded its second highest daily infection toll, and there are fears of a growing cluster in New South Wales.
From Thursday, mask wearing will be mandatory across Melbourne and the adjacent Mitchell Shire in a bid to curb community transmissions.
