SEATAC, Wash. - Dozens of Alaska Airlines flights at Sea-Tac International Airport were canceled Friday morning and officials said they are connected to the shortage of pilots.
According to FlightAware, there were 75 flights canceled out of Sea-Tac as of noon Friday, and 66 of the flights are through Alaska Airlines.
Alaska Airlines told FOX 13 News as of 2 p.m., more than 120 flights were canceled, which is about 9% of its overall operation.
This is affecting more than 15,000 passengers. Additional cancelations are possible over the weekend.
