Aldi has announced it is easing the shopping restrictions placed on the majority of its items. The budget supermarket had started to ration the number of items customers could purchase with stores under pressure to keep stock maintained during the early stages of the coronavirus lockdown.

Restrictions meant that customers could only purchase four of each food item, two packs of nappies or other baby products, and four units of spirits or wine. But bosses have now revealed that these limits will be modified across all stores in the UK.

Which is perfect timing for Easter as shoppers will now be able to enjoy a bottle or two of Aldi’s San Floriano Prosecco DOC, from just £4.99, reports Birmingham Live.
