All over-50s could get their first dose of Covid vaccine in just over five weeks time if the current pace of the rollout is maintained.
The government has set a target of vaccinating all 32 million people in the top nine priority groups, everyone aged over 50 and those with underlying conditions, by the end of April.
But this target could be smashed weeks ahead of schedule on March 24 if the current daily average of 435,000 doses is maintained.
And analysis of the data shows that the rollout to the over-50s will not be slowed by second doses being given to the over-70s.
