Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced that he is making a $100 million donation to Feeding America to help out food banks during the current health crisis.
The 56-year-old businessman, who is the richest person in the world, is doing his part to make sure that people are able to eat during these tough times. “Even in ordinary times, food insecurity in American households is an important problem, and unfortunately COVID-19 is amplifying that stress significantly.
Non-profit food banks and food pantries rely in large part on surplus food from a range of food businesses,” Jeff wrote in a post on Instagram. “For example, many restaurants donate excess food.
