China has been accused of lying about the extent of the coronavirus outbreak and is facing claims it has 'covered up' the real death toll.
Experts, politicians and researchers have all taken aim at the country and its animal markets, which are being probed as a potential source of Covid-19 and its trail of devastation.
It is claimed the British government has been informed the Chinese may have lied about the extent of their outbreak, according to Sky News.
It has also been suggested that this may have caused a precious loss of preparation time for other countries. In the initial few days of the outbreak, doctors were allegedly punished and persecuted when they first reported the deadly virus in China.
