Arsenal star Mesut Ozil will focus on developing his own M10 brand once his seven-and-a-half year endorsement deal with Adidas comes to an end in a few weeks.
Reports in Germany suggested the midfielder had been dumped by his sponsor as they take stock of their contracts amid the financial uncertainty caused by the coronavirus crisis.
Ozil has attracted controversy in recent years following his retirement from international football and for his relationship with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
But Ozil’s agent Erkut Sogut claims the deal is just coming to an end and that his client will now seek to establish his M10 brand further afterwards. “There is no termination,” Sogut told The Athletic . “The contract is running out.
