Mesut Ozil could be left without a boot sponsor as the Arsenal midfielder’s lucrative seven-year deal with adidas draws to a close.
Reports coming out of German publication Bild suggest adidas have decided not to renew Ozil’s £22million contract beyond the summer.
It is claimed the 31-year-old’s public image is one of the major factors behind their decision. Daily Star Sport understands Ozil's contract with the mega sports brand is in fact coming to an end, but whether it's renewed or not remains to be seen.
The Gunners man is in discussions with the brand but is likely to wear some of his most iconic adidas boots in the coming weeks should the two parties fail to come to an agreement.
