Asda has slashed the price of more than 1,000 everyday essential items in store and online in a bid to get shoppers to cook more meals at home during the national crisis.

The move comes after Morrisons revealed it was cutting the cost of hundreds of products back in March. Some price cuts from the supermarket chain include steaks, dairy products, treats and fresh fruit.

But that's not all - Asda has also reduced the price of cooking items like frying pans and hand blenders. This should come as great news to those who are trying to save money on their weekly shop and eat more home-cooked food as the pandemic continues.
