NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday gave a five-point advice to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to generate financial resources to fight the economic fallout of the covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Gandhi’s letter comes a day after the union government announced 30% pay cut for lawmakers, a move that the Congress president said her party backs.
Among some of the key measures that Gandhi suggested was imposing a complete ban on media advertisements -- television, print and online - by the government and Public Sectors Undertakings (PSUs) for a period of two years with exception of those on covid-19, suspending central vista beautification and construction project and transferring money under ‘PM Cares’ fund to the Prime
