A beloved dad has died from suspected Covid-19 just days after his disabled wife was admitted to hospital with the virus. Stephen Young is thought to have believed his wife Elizabeth would never recover from the illness.
The 61-year-old, from Leigh, started self-isolating when Elizabeth developed a persistent cough and showed signs of fatigue.
She was taken to Wigan Infirmary on April 1 where she tested positive for coronavirus. Stephen, a former delivery driver who also cared full time for his wife, then started experiencing symptoms himself.
