Love Island finally kicked off this week and we’re already feeling swept away by the drama, the questionable matches and the gorgeous clothes. And, one thing there’s never a lack of on Love Island it’s skimpy bikinis and for lounging round the pool and showing off your assets. After all, the aim of the game is to attract the person who’s your type on paper…But, while splashing around in barely-there swimwear might be a great way to catch attention there’s a negative side to spending eight hours a day in one.
Stephanie Taylor, Intimate Health Expert and Founder of Kegel8, claims that the Love Island beauties are making some major bikini mistakes.
And, they might even affect their health…She shares her advice on the swimwear mistakes to avoid this summer to ensure you aren’t causing any damage down there.Sitting in wet swimwear for long periods of time is likely to disturb the natural balance of bacteria in your vagina and lead to infection.Damp, warm bottoms are a hotbed for bacteria and can allow yeast and other bacteria to thrive.
So, rather than staying in it - you should change out of swimwear fairly soon after leaving the water. Not only does it cause issues with infection, but you may end up with an uncomfortable, itchy rash, flatteringly known as ‘jock itch’.
