NEW YORK - After a delay last week, another giant, city-funded 'Black Lives Matter' mural was expected to be painted in front of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan Thursday.Crews set up barriers around the section of Fifth Avenue between West 56th Steet and West 57th Street where the mural would be painted.
Traffic was shut down through the area. The five-hour process begins with stenciling followed by the painting of the letters.
Mayor Bill de Blasio was expected to lend a hand to painters and make a statement at the site. President Donald Trump slammed the idea on Twitter last week, calling the mural a “symbol of hate.” Get breaking news alerts in the FOX5NY News app.
