Amanda Holden was reduced to tears by a 14-year-old blind singer’s audition on Britain’s Got Talent. Sirine Jahangir, from London, earned a standing ovation from the crowd at the London Palladium – and four yeses from the judges.
She performed a piano-led performance of Gabrielle Aplin’s Salvation during the pre-recorded stage of the contest. Taking to the stage, she told judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Holden: “I guess it’s pretty obvious that I can’t see. “There was a time when I could and now I can’t.
But I guess music is my vision and that’s what I love, music is my thing.” Co-host Ant McPartlin led her to a grand piano in the centre of the stage.
