Boris Johnson's constituency hospital has been forced to close to emergencies after a coronavirus outbreak among staff. Ambulances started to be diverted away from Hillingdon Hospital in West London last night and it was closed to emergency admissions today - though “walk in” casualty patients were still being seen.
Chief executive of the hospital trust, Sarah Tedford, said she was treating the outbreak with the “utmost seriousness”. All staff have been ordered staff to stay at home and isolate if they had symptoms.
