A 13-year-old boy decided to open a pantry outside his house where elderly people can pick up essential groceries without putting themselves at risk by going to supermarkets.
Alfie Dean, from Torquay, opened The Babbacombe Pantry where he puts out items like milk, bread, and tinned food onto a shelf he took from his bedroom every morning.
Elderly people can visit the pantry take what they need and donate whatever they like, Devon Live reports. The kind-hearted teenager said he’s already seen around 20 people use the pantry, which he wanted to set up because there’s a big elderly community in Babbacombe.
