Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Boris Johnson it set to address the country tonight on Coronavirus and the booster rollout, as the UK's threat level was raised.
It comes as the country has had its Coronavirus Alert Level raised from Level 3 to Level 4 this afternoon, December 12. The Prime Minister will give a Covid update at 8pm from Downing Street, which is expected to focus on ramping up the booster rollout, according to the Mirror.

The UK Covid Alert Level has been increased "in light of the rapid increase in Omicron cases", the four UK chief medical officers said in a joint statement.
