Organisers of Brighton Pride have announced that the event has been cancelled this summer due to the coronavirus outbreak. Some half a million people were predicted to descend on Prenton Park this August for the two-day festival.
This year's event was set to be headlined by Mariah Carey, while the recently-reformed Pussycat Dolls were also set to appear.
In a statement, organisers of the festival - one of the largest LGBT events in the world - said: "It is with a heavy heart that Brighton & Hove Pride have taken the difficult decision to postpone our landmark 30th anniversary celebrations that were due to take place on 1st & 2nd August until 2021."
