The UK government may tell Britons to wear face masks until the end of the year to prevent the spread of coronavirus, as social distancing could last until 2021.
Top scientists met this week to discuss how the move could help lessen the spread of Covid-19, as fears increase around the length of time social distancing measures are set to last.
This could be through "the next calendar year" according to a top British doctor, reports The Sun. The likelihood of a vaccine in the next year is "incredibly small" according to Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty.
