Disability Scoop (8/12, Boyd) reports that some families in California are facing additional hardships during the coronavirus pandemic, as schools – which often provide a foundation of support and therapy for students with disabilities – continue to remain closed and operate fully online.
Some of the children “have lost supports such as occupational, physical and speech therapies because of inopportune timing,” due to how California’s special education system operates.
