Age Action Ireland has called on the Government to consult with older people about how best to live with Covid-19 restrictions and to facilitate safe visits for nursing home residents who feel "forgotten and invisible".
Celine Clarke from Age Action Ireland told RTÉ's Morning Ireland that the Government should give older people choice and control over their own lives and should not forget about them.
She said that they feel "talked about but not to" and are not consulted about what they need, their ideas about living with Covid-19 or the current measures and how they impact their lives.
