Fianna Fáil TD Niall Collins has called on the Government to put a repatriation plan in place for Irish people stuck overseas during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking on RTÉ's Drivetime, Mr Collins said Irish people overseas in places like Australia are beginning to get worried as many no longer have jobs and they are running out of money.
The Limerick politician called on the Government to "partner up" with Aer Lingus or another airline to put in place a number of repatriation flights for Irish citizens.
Mr Collins said that we do not know how long the pandemic is going to go on for and the plan needs to materialise and start taking shape in the next number of days.
