UEFA will be forced to cancel the Champions League final if the competition cannot be concluded by the start of August. European football's governing body has confirmed a deadline of August 3 has been set to finish both the Champions League and Europa League competitions.
Football across Europe has been suspended indefinitely as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. It's still not known whether the current campaign will be completed, but Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin has set a deadline for European competitions.
As exclusively revealed by Daily Star Sport last week, UEFA could now be left with no choice but to abandon it's flagship club competition in a move that would cost them millions.
