Charlie Adam has backed old teammate Steven Gerrard as the right man to bring the glory days back to Rangers - and refused to rule out an emotional return to Ibrox.

The Gers were on course for another campaign without silverware prior to Scottish football being shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak on March 13, trailing league leaders Celtic by 13 points.

Gerrard also saw his charges dumped out of the Scottish Cup by lowly Hearts in February, while only a miracle would see them progress to the last-16 of the Europa League following a 3-1 home defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg.
